Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping completed signage products while ensuring accuracy, quality, and on-time deliveries. This role works closely with production, purchasing, and project management service to maintain efficient shipping operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Prepare finished signage products for shipment using appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.• Verify customer orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
    • Process domestic and international shipments using UPS, FedEx, LTL freight carriers, and other shipping services.
    • Create shipping labels, bills of lading, and related documentation.
    • Schedule freight pickups and coordinate with carriers.
    • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments safely.
    • Track shipments and assist with resolving shipping discrepancies or delivery issues.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts.
    • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred or willing to obtain).
    • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
    • Create reports and any additional documentation as required.
    • Perform other shipping duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • • High school diploma or GED preferred.

    • Minimum 1–2 years of shipping in a manufacturing environment preferred.

    • Experience with UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, or similar shipping software is a plus.

    • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory management software.

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet shipping deadlines.

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience

  • • Forklift certification.

    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

    • Familiarity with custom products or large-format signage.

    • Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse best practices.


  • Requirements:

  • • Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

    • Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.

    • Ability to work in a manufacturing and outdoor environment with varying temperatures.

    • Safely operate warehouse equipment and tools.
