Service Logistics Coordinator
LOCATION: Portland Warehouse
ABOUT THE JOB:
The Service Logistics Coordinator works closely with vendors, warehouse personnel, office staff, and field employees to ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available to support daily service department operations.
This warehouse-based position supports the Service Department by managing incoming service deliveries, coordinating parts and materials for field technicians, and providing administrative and logistical support to service leaders and technicians.
Work onsite at the Swan Island warehouse Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (or 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).
Receive, label, and organize incoming deliveries for the service department.
Notify technicians and service leaders of package arrivals and coordinate timely distribution.
Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment to unload, move, and stage materials as needed.
Provide warehouse backup support during periods when warehouse personnel are unavailable, including assisting with shipping, receiving, and material movement.
Order, pick up, and deliver parts and supplies to support field operations.
Process warranty documentation and coordinate the return of warranty parts.
Order and distribute technician uniforms and related supplies.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of service department work areas.
Stock kitchens, bathrooms, and other common areas with necessary supplies.
Assist with answering incoming service department phone calls as needed.
Support other departments and company initiatives as assigned.
Participate in cross-training to provide operational flexibility.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Two or more years of experience in service, operations, warehouse support, logistics, shipping/receiving, or administrative support role.
Experience supporting field service, construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or other trade-related operations preferred.
Experience receiving and distributing deliveries, coordinating parts and materials, or supporting warehouse operations.
Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, technicians, warehouse personnel, and office staff.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while managing frequent interruptions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent documentation and recordkeeping skills.
Comfortable learning and using new software and technology.
Dependable with a strong record of attendance and punctuality.
Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule, including assigned start times and meal periods.
Ability to regularly lift 40 pounds
Work in a warehouse environment
